About Colette
Colette Wetzel is a creative director, stylist, and writer based in Austin, Texas. Her work lives at the intersection of food, fashion, and storytelling — where beauty is practical, intentional, and meant to be shared. With a background rooted in hospitality and visual design, Colette is drawn to the rituals of everyday life: setting a table, cooking a meal, getting dressed with care, and creating spaces that invite connection.
Her approach is intuitive and editorial, shaped by years of hands-on creative work and a deep belief in living seasonally, thoughtfully, and with a sense of ease. Whether she’s styling a dish, developing a recipe, or writing an essay, her work is guided by the same philosophy: that a well-lived life is built slowly, through presence, craft, and attention to detail.
The Work, the Brands, and the Bigger Picture
Colette is the founder of Cultured Creative Studios, a multidisciplinary creative studio rooted in food, fashion, and storytelling. What began in 2017 as Cultured Grazing Company—a luxury catering brand known for artful tables and elevated, gastronomic experiences—has since expanded into a broader creative practice.
Today, Cultured Creative Studios encompasses food styling, recipe development, creative direction, consulting, production support, and brand development, working with individuals and brands who value beauty, intention, and connection. At its core, the work is about bringing people together—whether around a table, a visual narrative, or a thoughtfully built brand.
Alongside her studio work, Colette is the creator of Heirloom, a Substack and creative archive where she shares seasonal recipes, personal style, hosting inspiration, and reflections on creativity, career, and living a well-curated life. Heirloom is where her worlds meet—food, fashion, writing, and the quiet in-between moments that shape a creative life.
Across all platforms and projects, Colette’s work is guided by a belief in sustainability over hustle, depth over excess, and the idea that the most meaningful work is built slowly, with intention.
